The views from the six are not always pleasant, especially for emerging and struggling artists. This industrial pop track is bursting with fat kicks, industrialized percussion, and hazy warm synths, while also heavily featuring Tin:Ma’s intimate vocals. Autobiographical and critical, “I Don’t Want No Problems” deals with the artist’s experience with living in Toronto. The Canadian city has been dealing with a housing crisis due to its unaffordable living prices, resulting in many people being unable to sustain themselves. The track criticizes Toronto’s wealth disparity, saying that “the six has confused living with money.”

Though Tin:Ma fondly remembers their time in Toronto, such as hanging out at Trinity-Bellwoods and Christie Pits (two well-known parks) and smoking cheap weed they found on the ground, they highlight some of the struggles of city life.

“I just wanted to produce a track where I could sing about being a poor artist living in Toronto, now that I’m a broke musician living in Montreal (laughs). You know, have fun and be pessimistic. I can’t believe how much I was paying for rent just to have mushrooms growing out of the carpet in my shitty basement apartment.”—Tin:Ma
